Water Sensor Pucks  (SPucks) and PRO feet extender

Picture
The MarCELL PRO base unit optionally can be “paired” wirelessly with up to 16 SPucks.  SPucks are designed to quickly detect water in a flooding situation via metal contacts (feet) on the bottom of the unit.

Place SPucks in storage rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, mechanical spaces and other areas where a water leak can pose critical damage.

Once a SPuck recognizes water, it contacts the MarCELL PRO base unit and immediately dispatches any alerts you have set up.

MarCELL PRO SPucks also come with feet extender wire harness which allows for water detection in areas where it would normally flood the unit.

Using Feet Extender Wire and Harness Correctly
Picture
All MarCELL PRO packages come with PRO feet extender wire to be used optionally with the SPuck.  Use in applications such as sump pumps, bilges or other areas where rising water would quickly overwhelm the SPuck.

SPucks "feet" work as a normally open alarm point.  Once the circuit is closed (via the feet touching or making an electrical circuit via water), the SPuck enters an alarm and reports into the MarCELL PRO base unit.

Connect the plastic adapter to any of the three sets of feet on the SPuck.  Make sure both ends of extension wires are exposed (may require "stripping back" the wire) approximately 1/2 inch but are not touching.

Next, the other end of the extension wire can be installed in a configuration where undesired water levels will flood the bare ends of the wire, but not the SPuck.   Once the extended feet touch water, the SPuck will register an alarm.

Using SPucks for Other Purposes or Alarms

Additionally, the SPuck can be used as a remote monitor for a normally open alarm point.  This can be used for in applications such as HVAC, generators, industrial equipment, etc.  Connect
the leads of the extension wire to the alarm output point on the unit.

Remember - once a SPuck has been activated, it must be reactivated by pushing the black button on the back.
